Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, supplied for in-vitro and preclinical research. It is a widely referenced tool for laboratories studying anxiolytic-pathway and neuromodulatory signaling.
Research Context: In controlled model systems, Selank is examined for its role in enkephalin-degradation pathways, GABA- and serotonin-system modulation, and BDNF-expression studies in neural models. Typical endpoints include neurotransmitter-marker assays, gene-expression panels (BDNF, IL-6), and behavioral-model readouts in animal systems.
